About Habitat for Humanity Hastings Prince-Edward
Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1976, Habitat Canada was founded in 1985, and the Prince Edward-Hastings Habitat for Humanity was formed in 1995. Our mission brings communities together to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable home ownership. A world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity invites volunteers to work together in partnership with families in need providing “a hand up-not a hand out”. Prince Edward-Hastings Habitat for Humanity has built 29 homes helping 30 families and is an independent, not for profit housing program.

Our organization’s mission brings communities together to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable home ownership. We believe everyone deserves a safe and decent place to live, and every day we take action to help achieve that goal.
What We Do
We are a social services agency, a mortgage lender, a homebuilder, and a retailer through our ReStore location in Belleville, which covers our administrative costs so that all other fundraising efforts can be devoted to helping build and create more decent and safe housing for the communities we serve.
